How to add a post from Microsoft Teams channel as an insight in JPD?

Hello everyone,

I have a feeling that I saw a Loom with a demonstration of how to gather feedback from a Teams channel so that it becomes an insight (not a separate ticket and not a comment, but an insight) in JPD. And now I can't find it. Can someone please help me: is it me remembering it wrong or does this functionality exist? Thank you!

Hi Tatiana, the demos we have for that should be here, but it's on Slack, not Teams.

We have only partially tackled the job of creating a direct feedback channel between customers/users or other internal teams (sales/support/customer success/marketing) with the product team. We have plans to do more there, but for now these are the options that you can use to do that with the product today:

  1. Set up a Jira Service Management queue to receive feedback from customers and internal teams (and how to set up automation rules to do it)

  2. Set up a dedicated Slack channel #product-feedback to receive feedback from internal teams (also works with Teams)

  3. Share JPD views with other teams and gather their feedback using fields and votes to receive feedback from internal teams

  4. Do Idea intake in Jira Product Discovery, letting stakeholders creating ideas in a specific JPD project

Hello again. @Tanguy Crusson can it be that integration with Teams functionality has been changed recently? I am pretty sure that I was able to add a post as an insight before following  "More actions", but now it has disappeared.

I wonder whether "Comment in Jira" adds as an insight when you point it to an idea (that rings a bell). Could you try?

I have tried and no, it does not add an insight, only a comment.

I am absolutely sure that there were other Jira related choices under "More actions" before. So either something changed in the integration itself or some of my Teams settings have gone wrong (even though I have not changed anything intentionally). If the second case I true, then I would really appreciate if I can be pointed to some place where it is said what Teams settings should be for this to work as intended. I think, I have tried everything that I can, but still have no progress :(
