Is there a way to 'Save as timeline'

Is save as timeline an item in consideration?  I have found, you start w/a list but timeline is really the right option, so rather than starting clean, at least select timeline, and 1st screen is setting the date fields.  Just a thought unless anyone has other creative work arounds

hey Tere! what problem are you hoping to solve with the suggested "save as timeline" ? not sure I am getting the gist of what is confusing or unclear.
