Project Start and Project Target on List View Shows Wrong Quarter Months

We select quarters for our Project Start and Project Target. When displayed on the list view, the months being shown for the quarters do not match what we have in the Dates configuration for JPD. It shows 4 months instead of 3 and overlaps with other quarters. The picker shows the correct quarters but when picked, the description on the list view shows the 4 months.

Here is the Date Picker:

Here is the list view with the wrong months (4 months for the quarter) and with the overlaps with other quarters. This should show Jul-Sep, 2025 and Oct-Dec, 2025.

Here is the Dates configuration for JPD:

This was working previously (in the last few weeks). I only noticed this new issue last week.

It seems like a bug. If not, is there a configuration I am missing? Like I said, this was working until last week.

Hi @Jess Jose -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Did you recently change your quarter settings?

If so...My understanding is when the settings are changed any existing "quarter date range" values in Ideas need to be manually updated to reset the value.  It does not happen automagically.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi, Bill. No, we didn't change it. The settings has always been the same as out-of-the-box.

When I started having problems, I did go to the Dates settings, I didn't change it and clicked Save. But that still didn't fix the issue.

I did go to the Ideas and manually changed the values and saved them. No luck on that either. I also added new ideas and selected quarters. Same issue.

Thank you.

Thanks, and I should have tried that first as I see the same defect:

  • When selecting the quarter, the dates are correct
  • When displayed in a list view, the first month is off by one
  • The data behind the scenes (in the JSON) is correct

I recommend asking your Site Admin to submit a ticket to Atlassian Support: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

And we can see if @Beata Kupiec who wrote that announcement knows about this one.
