Set status for new idea in Jira Product Discovery

Hi

Is it possible to make Jira product discovery set a status on all new ideas that are created?

I am trying to have all new ideas be filtered into their own list and I would love to have this happen automatically on issue creation.

Glad you figured out a way to make it work. Another option would be to utilize automation. The trigger would be issue created and you could scope it to all Discovery projects or the specific discovery project(s) you want. Using the transition action would allow you to transition the Idea to the status you need.

I've figured this out myself, if you add a field and filter to the view that is supporting the create idea form, it will default to the filter selection
