User has no permission to add Watcher to Idea

Hello! Product Manager couldn't add watcher to the Idea in the TDB project, but can in PD project (see screenshot).

I am an admin and granted him Creator permissions in TDB project but still no success. What could be the issue?

Dear @Yuliia Vyborova 

In order to add watchers, the user has to have three things:

• Application access (Jira or Jira Service Desk License)
• Managed Watchers permission in Project Permission scheme
• Access to the project (Added to project role or permission scheme)

If you are Jira Admin or Project Administrator then

1. Choose Settings > Projects.
2. Search for and select the project you want to change permissions for.
3. From the sidebar, select Project settings to view the project's settings.
4. Select Permissions from the sidebar. This displays the current permissions scheme.
5. Search for the particular permission (Manage Watcher). Add the user to this permission individually.

@Anahit Sukiasyan thank you for details! Although, I don't see Permissions in Jira Product Discovery type of project. Where can I find permissions scheme for JPD?

Adding a watcher is a JPD project admin permission. JPD does not have permission schemes since the product only offers team-managed projects.

@Nick Haller got it, thank you! Adding watchers is quite helpful feature to follow issue and stay in the loop - do you have any plans to add this to team-managed or JPD project some time soon?

I'm not sure if this will be a creator permission in the future, but feel free to share this feedback with our engineering and product teams with JPD under the Give feedback tab. At this time a user will have to be a project admin to add watchers to an idea.
