I have made a kanban board. I have already added tasks to board view and I want to see the same tasks on timeline view because in board view I have added start and end dates with time stamps. 

But its saying me to add epics there. Don't understand what that is. Also, Suppose my task of board view has a name called TES-1. I want to see the same on timeline view. I am unable to do that. 

What can I do?

Answered on other post but it sounds like you are using Jira Software project. This is Jira Product Discovery message board. 

Product Discovery only has one issue type and does not have Epics and Tasks.
