Hi!
My organization is using JPD for overall prioritization across product teams. The main pain we are trying to solve is that of achieving a clear org-wide stack rank. Many of our individual product features require cross-team work, so a global stack rank helps the engineering teams prioritize and the product team have predictability on what we can commit for any given product iteration.
We currently do this by using a single JPD project for all product teams. However, this approach is showing its limitations as it's hard to control permissions and (most importantly) preventing people who re-order ideas in their own product-specific boards from reordering the global stack rank.
I'm exploring moving to a different approach where each team has their own JPD project, with well defined and shared global fields. They would then be free to create views and reorder/reprioritize items at will. We would then link all product-specific projects into a single Roadmap view and use that to prioritize work across the organization at our PI pre-planning meeting.
However, Roadmaps do not currently allow us to reorder items, so achieving a global stack rank this way seems impossible. @Hermance NDounga mentioned in a separate post that the ability to reorder Roadmap items was being implemented. Do we have an ETA for when this will be available? it would really help us!
Alternatively, can anyone suggest a better JPD setup to mirror our process?
Hey @gianmarco_spiga
This is your lucky day cause we started roll out litterally this morning :) we need to gradually roll out, but it should be available to you maximum within next week - except if releases tracks are enabled on your site, in that case it will be bundled in the releases track of next month.
Best Regards,
Hermance
