Unable to search using a Short Text field in JIRA Product Discovery

Hello. It seems to be impossible to search for an idea using a Short Text field. We are using a short text field to reference an external system ID. And if I enter the search text in the Search box in any view in the Product Discovery, it doesn't turn up the result. And there is no option to Filter on that particular column on the view. Only sort options are available for Short Text and the sorting is also not accurate. Please help with this issue. Thank you.

It should be possible to search / filter on a short text field. For example:

You should also be able to use the field's ID to query on it too if that is any help:

This searches only for complete text matches and also it is only available 'outside' of JIRA Product Discovery. The search box within the JIRA Product Discovery does not allow me to search using any of the field in the view except Summary and Description.

Thank you for sharing that additional feedback, and apologies for any inconvenience / lack of functionality. We do have a feature request already entered with engineering to improve the in-app search, and hopefully have it identify fields outside only the Summary and Description.

No ETA on when this will be available. So the workaround would be what is mentioned above unfortunately.
