Why fields values are lost when moving Idea to another project despite choosing to Retain value?

Hi, values from fields were lost despite checking the retain value! This is unacceptable!

I have moved one Idea to another project created with similar config, checked Retain for all the values and information in the Documents field was erased!

Please fix the issue affecting the integrity of our data AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

We are losing date in the process as Product Managers have to move Ideas one project to another!

Since JPD spaces are built on the team-managed platform, they are isolated. This means the configuration within one JPD space isn't shared by other JPD spaces. Unfortunately, unless the fields in question are global, this means that the values won't be retained when moving between spaces (as you've found out).

The only way to retain the values, other than making the fields global, is to export and then import the ideas into the new space. You would then need to go through and perform a merge on each one of the ideas that was imported. This will bring over any insights and delivery items and it will archive the original Idea.

Definitely a painful process, especially when we see how easy it can be within normal Jira spaces.
