I've heard ā€œJiraā€ mentioned so many times in the video that I’m tempted to share this article with my colleagues who still say ā€œJay-raā€. Maybe it’ll help with pronunciation too šŸ˜…

The non-software-industry-related examples and customization emphasis I think is the most important overview of Jira for non-tech newbies or prospective customers. Up to the past few years, Jira had always been typecast as a software, dev, DevOps, IT, ITSM, or tech dept's software. The quick use cases and simple Kanban example shared in the video make Jira more inviting to non-tech clients and teams outside of Jira's tech-based user personas.

This also will really help system and network admins better serve clients. For instance, a DevOps sprint reports and associated metrics are a go-to for identifying process bottlenecks... but, your first-time sales client needs data for lead generation and SEM insights. Thinking beyond software/tech will prep new and old Jira admins for troubleshooting and enhancements, esp. w/ customized features.

Hi

These basic and updated courses are fantastic, especially for those new to JIRA and who need to understand the basic features to progress further in the tool. I think it's essential for Atlassian to update the videos because the tool is constantly evolving, and some become obsolete.

Great idea

Regards

Hi @Angelie Stephens

Thanks for this idea.

I have passed the "Get started quickly with Jira" course, when I we have started to use Jira Cloud — super helpful!
Great course for beginners to understand the basic concept of Jira.

I have recommended it in our organization.

Just as a reminder, this is another course where you will need to update the terminology from 'projects' to 'spaces'

Good view, it shows how Jira organizes the projects layout and how to customize it.
