Introducing Team links: Centralize all your team's key resources in one place!

Hey team 👋

Earlier in the year, we released the ability to connect your team to Jira projects and Confluence spaces, whereby they will show up in your team profile . Now you can add any web link!

📢 With Team links, add any web link, Jira project, Confluence space, or Loom space to your team profile - making it the go-to hub for everything your team needs.

What’s changing?

Previously, you may have seen a 'links' section at the bottom of the team profile illustrated below:

We've merged this with our new 'team links' section - a single, unified section in your team profile where you can connect all the places your team works, whether it's Atlassian tools or not.

Why you'll love this feature

💎 Effortlessly find your team’s work, wherever it lives.

Centralize all your team's key resources in one place. No more hunting through browser bookmarks or old emails. Add links to your team's Slack channels, Google Drive folders, Figma files, or any tool your team relies on.

Everything is one click away!

🚀 Make onboarding and collaboration easier

New team members can instantly see where your team works and what tools you use. Non-team members can quickly understand your team's scope and find the right resources themselves.

Currently, you can connect up to 10 total links and anyone can make these connections.

How to use team links

Dropdown redux.png

  1. Go to your team profile page.

  2. Go to the 'team links' section.

  3. Click `+` and select 'web link' in the dropdown to connect any link such as your team's Slack channel URL.
  4. You can add up to 10 links - anyone on the team can do it!

FAQ

What happened to the links that were already connected to my team (i.e. in the 'links' section)?

If your team had existing links connected in the legacy 'links' section, we've kept these links but simply moved it to the new 'team links' section.

How many links can I add to my team?

You can connect a maximum of 10 links to the 'team links' section.

I had links connected to my team already and it was more than 10, what happens?

If your team had existing links already and it exceeded 10 links, your links will still show up but you cannot add more links. We recommend you edit or remove some links if they are no longer up-to-date.

Let me know when you try it out and comment below if you have any feedback or ideas - please mention me so I get a notification 🙏

This looks really nice - love the idea of turning the team page into a central hub for everything we use day-to-day!

Quick question though: why the limit of 10 links? Some teams (especially cross-functional or customer-facing ones) might need a few more to capture all the tools and shared spaces they rely on. Would be great to understand if that’s a technical constraint or just a starting point.

Either way, excited to try this out! 😊

Hey @Brita Moorus ,

Thanks for reading this and thank you for the great feedback!

The limit of 10 links is a starting point based on our analysis on how customers use teams. Once you start using this feature, I'd love to hear what you're linking to your teams and whether you find yourself with many teams needing >10 links. If this becomes a regular request, we can explore increasing this limit.

Hi @April Chi , this is a brilliant move. Centralizing key resources with 'Team links' will definitely streamline onboarding for new team members and make daily workflows smoother for everyone. I liked the ability to link to external tools alongside Jira projects and Confluence spaces.
