Introducing the summary view in Jira software projects

@Lisa The April update is amazing and adding filters really empowers the "summary view" for Software projects.

Can you provide insight if Atlassian has any plans with being able to save our "filtered" options so we can quickly go back to a specific data view for the "summary page"?

The use case, as it applies to me, is that our company uses one Software Project to track multiple back-office processes for work-projects. We break these processes apart by using boards, work-types, workflows, screens, the works, y'know?

Currently, unfiltered, the "summary page" gives metrics on everything, all issue types, statuses, assignees, which makes the page muddied. Now with the filters we can specifically look at one process since they're segmented by "issue types" in our instance. But every time we want to go back to a filtered "summary page" view we have to remember what filters we applied, no way of bookmarking or saving, and that adds time.

I'm curious on Atlassian's opinion on the matter as I think that would be VERY VERY powerful.

Hi, @Lisa
I wonder if it's possible to add as a filter the fields "Component" and "Fix Version". Our Jira hasn't received the filter update yet, but I know those are not in the list. Can we expect them in the foreseeable future?

How can we filter data based on assigned team?

Only the Active sprints boards applies the parent team filter. All the other boards shared the same data for the whole project which makes them useless for managing team work.

I have a board that includes multiple projects. When on the Active Sprints tab/view, I can see all of the cards from all 3 different projects I'm pulling in from. However when I look at the summary tab, it is empty. Is it possible to show a combined summary view of all 3 projects I'm pulling in from?

*3 different teams working on 3 different applications, but they all fall under the same "Parent" effort.

@christopher_branaman . boards seem to be limited when dealing with reporting across multi-project workstreams. Have you tried exploring the "Goals" and "Projects" features (formally Atlas), as well as "Plans" (formally called Advanced Roadmaps)?  These are intended to help manage work that's spread across several projects.

Also keep an eye on the roadmap for improvements to Atlassian Teams, as I think a Team's landing page was supposed to have more support for visualising work a cross functional team does that is spread across several Jira or JSM spaces (formally called projects).

We currently do not have Jira Premium so those other tools are not available to us.

@Lisa  I would like to request that the Summary View from the Board (Scrum or Kanban) have the same options for Filters in each reporting section as we see in the Summary View when accessing from the JIRA Plans application.
