Greetings all,  Here is another new view regression bug that Atlassian marked as a feature request.

I discovered quite by accident a hack to get around the issue of not being able to enter the time manually with the now-not-so-new UI.

To recap, the problem stems from the "Date started" time field automatically changing when you enter "Time spent" and only being able to select the "Date started" time from a pulldown. Even if you enter a time manually, it gets changed to the closest entry in the pulldown. [Note that the interval between entries can be set by your organization, but the general user cannot change the interval.]

Turns out if you enter the hours calculated backward to get the correct start time; for example:

Current time: 10:35am
Time spent: 1h 20m
Date started: 4/3/2025 9:15am

then click on the Date and select any date (it can be today), you can then edit the Time spent WITHOUT the Date started time getting changed automatically:

Current time: 10:40am
Time spent: 15m
Date started: 4/3/2025 9:15am
