I've set up an OAuth mail server connection to 365 and it authenticates without a problem. The test is successful, but doesn't detect the emails in the mailbox.
I've tried manually setting the folder to INBOX and Inbox with the same result, I've also tried switching the mailbox from a standard user to a shared mailbox.
The OAuth account has full permissions to the mailbox and can open it successfully out of OWA.
OAuth will not work with mail handlers connecting to other mailboxes. Basically, I have an account named, JiraOAuth, that was trying to check testmailbox@domain.com. That doesn't work and is a known issue. JiraOAuth, can check and create tickets when the holding mailbox is JiraOAuth@domain.com.
Hello, Good day. Make sure that the email is unread on the inbox.
Please verify the permission given on the following document. https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/user-gets-an-error-jira-cloud-atlassian-needs-permission-to-access-resources-in-your-organisation-when-setting-an-office-365-account-as-an-incoming-mail-server/

Hi, I've verified the settings are correct in O365. There are 11 unread emails in the inbox.
The OAuth account has full permissions to the mailbox and can open the mailbox in O365.

Thank you. The issue turned out to be that a Microsoft 365 account authenticating with OAuth will not work with mail handlers connecting to other mailboxes. Basically, I have an account named, JiraOAuth, that was trying to check testmailbox@domain.com. That doesn't work and is a known issue. JiraOAuth, can check and create tickets when the holding mailbox is JiraOAuth@domain.com.
My issue is resolved.
