Hi i would like to create a rule in which if ticket is created 4 days back we should an email to assignee of the ticket to change the status to in progress. Can this be achievable by using automation for jira.

You can of course restrict your JQL to a specific project (which would be wise to do so)

Adding to Alex's answer: are you asking about 4 calendar days or 4 working days (e.g. Monday - Friday)?
