A Release that has been deleted is reappearing

A user is deleting mistakingly created unreleased Fix Version. However the next day the unrelease fix version comes back. Is anyone else seeing this issue on Jira 9.4.7

Hi @Justin Jose,

Can you please check the audit log (System > Audit log)? Are there any entries related to this project version? There should be the entry "Project version created" with the details about its creation.

Yes thank you. That has shown us that our system is just creating the project version after we delete it. Not sure why it is being auto created though.

Do these entries show up as system-generated? Perhaps you have some scripts, Automation rules or integrations with other systems that create versions?

Yes, we do have some scripts that feed into Jira. We believe that is why the release is being created. Thank you!
