A custom status and column that was created in team-managed project has automatically disappeared
The custom status and column name was "waiting for info" and now the column is not displaying on board or available as a status on an issue. The issues that were in "waiting for info" have changed to status "in progress".
The project settings have not been changed.
Any reason why this happened and how to get back the waiting for info status on the issues and the board column?

Are you sure that the workflow wasn't changed ?
I would suggest to go "Project Settings" --> Board --> Columns and statuses.
There check that column and status is there. If not you may have to add in the workflow and publish.

Thanks for the reply. A team member had deleted "Waiting for Info" column from the board by mistake. We have added the status back in the Project settings. Issue is resolved.
