A docx attachment is getting an error when selected on a Jira Agile board, why?

When I select a bug on a JIRA Agile board, an exception is thrown indicating an attachment issue.  I delected a .docx attachment from the issue and all is well.  Why are docx attachments not supported ?  Can I support them?

Hi David, 

Yes, this bug was introduced on the system on the last release of updates on JIRA (last Sunday). There was a bug report open for this: GSH-11412. Though the fix was already released. If you are still facing this problem, please raise a ticket on Atlassian SAC (support.atlassian.com) under Atlassian OnDemand and we will gladly further investigate this problem and apply the fix for you. smile
