Ability to auto-create subtasks for specific issue types

Hello, is there a way for us within JIRA without a plugin to create an issue type that will then auto-generate subtasks?

how about a free plugin? I use Automation for Jira Lite which provide 300/mo automations. might not be enough or you may just not want a plugin at all?

You can write a small groovy postcondition with script runner to create a sub-task which can be fully customized.
