Ability to edit custom field URL in a card

I added a custom field of type URL in our cards which was intended to point to a test URL for the users to go to. I have come to find that this field is not editable once entered. Priority, or assignee are naturally.

Anyone run into this?

I think I answered my own question.

If the URL is too long, there is no way to click into the field so that it can be edited. A Jira usability oversight. If the URL is shorter then the Check and Cross boxes appear.

I added an automation to clear it as a work around.
