I've created a dashboard that's based on the 'Issue Statistics' widget. The widgets 'Statistic Type' filter is set to Assignee, so it displays a list of the users and how many work items are currently assigned to each of them.
When you click on an individuals name from the list inside of the widget it takes you to the filter results screen. I've shared this dashboard with all of the members of my team and would like to reference the same fields and have them view the dashboard and filters results in the same format and layout that I've set my dashboard and filter to, however, when they run the same dashboard and view the results their list is displayed entirely differently from mine.
Is there any way to create a filter that locks or persists the view and format\layout of a filter or widget so that everyone that runs it sees the same results, in the same format, with the same number of columns in the same order, etc? Or does each user who is going to access the filter\widget need to configure their view to be the same as mine? It's pointless to share a dashboard with 25 users and each one of them has to update and format their dashboard to look like mine so that we can have the same view of the results. I either don't understand the tool or understand how dashboards, filters and widgets work in Jira and should be creating this type of report\view in a different tool.
Thanks!
Hi @Tony V
I am wondering if what you are seeing is actually influences by this bug:
There seems to be a workaround listed in this article:
However, it is specifically aimed at the "Filter Results" Gadget. I would be interested if, using the workarounds, you can get past the issues you are seeing when sharing the dashboard.
Regards,
Daniel
Hi @Tony V
You actually can and you have to set them up and it has to be your own filter: Here are the instructions:

Thanks
