I created a project but didn't realize it was set to the classic kanban. So I deleted it. It said "Are you sure you want to send it to the recycle bin"? Sure, whatever. I then created a new project and tried typing in the same key. It said I couldn't because the old project was using it. I cannot find the old project at all. I even tried manually navigating to https://site.atlassian.net/browse/DELETEDKEY and it says "This project doesn't exist"!
Very frustrating. Either it exists or it doesn't.
How do I get to the recycle bin? WHy can't I access it directly? I would expect some sort of "deleted view" (ie a big banner that says "THIS PROJECT IS DELETED, CLICK HERE TO RESTORE".
EDIT:
While working on something unrelated (Project Tags) I stumbled across the project trash
https://site.atlassian.net/jira/settings/projects/trash
No idea how I got there.
I didn't post this as an answer because I couldn't due to this error:

Hi @Scott Beeson ,
The link you provided should display the deleted projects. If it does not, you can open a support ticket. Because I am able to view deleted project on my cloud jira and can delete the projects permanently.
