Access to Jira tickets after they are released

Our team is interested in starting to use the Release function but we're concerned with what happens to the Done tickets after they are released. If we want to reference back to one, how do we do that? We're a small software project so we only release every few months.

I've answered my own question by creating a dummy kanban board. Once a version is made and tickets are released to it, they are listed under that version in the Releases section of the UI.

Yes that my answer. and also you have option to disable older issue since 4 week.
