Access to a local Database from Jira Cloud (Elements Connect)

Hi,

what is the best approach to securely access our local database from Jira Cloud App? 

Current situation: we are running locally isntalled Jira Server with the Elements Connect App. In our environment there is a local Postgres DB with some Company data, which we connected to Jira via Elements Connect Datasources.

Now we are planning to migrate to the Jira Cloud and we are looking for a solution how to securely access that local DB from the Cloud Jira. 

Do you have any recommendations?

Elements Connect is available on Jira Cloud. To fetch data from your local database, you'd need to have it accessible from internet (you can allow only our IPs for security purposes).
