Accessing Jira cloud data from another website using Javascript

Hi,

Does anyone know and is it possible to access Jira cloud data from another website using Javascript only?

Basically I would like to either expose a Jira next-gen backlog or if that isn't possible then retrieve results from a filter using Javascript only.

I don't have back end access to the server that I am pulling data to so I cannot install node.js, use php, python etc.

Is this possible?

Javascript can make REST calls to fetch data from Jira.
