Active board view we can no longer see story status

Hello, in the active board view we can no longer see story status. Instead, it shows number of subtasks that are open. This is making daily standup much harder as it take more clicks to get to what we need. 

Is this a bug, can you please fix it? This worked until very recently.

I agree 100%. This is incredibly frustrating as when viewing an active board, one of the main points is to see which user stories are in which status. Now team has to use either a filter view or physically click into every single story to see the status. This is a huge miss by the JIRA Product Development team.
