Actual Start: Actual start is required - After behaviour

Viviane da Silva Moreira August 12, 2024

Hello!!

o Actual Start Field: The actual start required appeared after a behavior made by the runner script, could there be some conditional in the workflow? Where can I identify this error? What was done: two behaviors that a group was created so that only users in that group can create and edit a given issue. Can anyone help me?

Hello @Viviane da Silva Moreira

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What action is being executed when the message appears? Is it the attempt to change the issue status?

In what type of project is this occurring? You can get the project type information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

You said two behaviours were created to limit who can create and edit given issues. Is the person executing the action within the set of users that are allowed to create and edit the specified issue?

If this is occurring during only specific status transitions for an issue, the first step is to check the workflow for that issue, examine the transitions, and see if a Validator has been added to require entry of an Actual Start value.

If it is occurring for all transitions and when new issues are being created, but only for specific issues and/or in specific projects, then the next thing to check is if the Field has been set to be Required all the time.
