Add Fix Version To JIRA "Business Project"

Hi!

I have an issue with fix version field.

I have JIRA project from type "Business Project" which basically helps me to track project's delivery and then should be the dedicated project for the customer for anything that will come up  in the future.

Now let's say there was a bug and i opened a linked ticket to our R&D on their "Software Project", i want to be able to copy the "fix version" field into my "Business Project".

Today it is not possible as the "Business Project" doesn't support this field...

Side note- the "Business Project" in JIRA is very helpful with its look and feel and moving it to "Software Project" is not something i would like to do.

I assume you're using a Work Management Project?

Is this a Team-managed or Company-managed Project? You can check in the bottom-left corner (on the side bar) - it will say: You're in a <project type> project

Versions can be used in Company-managed Work Management Projects. You can:

• Add the Fix Versions / Affects Versions fields to the Issue Screen
• Create Versions via Project Settings > Versions (from left-hand menu)
• Add them to Issues using the field

As far as I know however, they are not available in Team-managed Work Management Projects at this point.

Also, just for clarity, the Fix Versions would need to be duplicated between the two Projects. This is because Versions can be associated with a single Project only.
