Add Ons Question License Details shows expired but License is Valid

In process of preparing to upgrade Jira Server and going through Add-Ons. Some have License Details Expired but show license Valid.  My Thought is that the add on is working as it is valid however no updates until it's renewed from it's existing version?

Example. 

Jira workflow toolbox

License Valid, License Details Expired. 

Version 2.3.3 installed, Jira instance 7.8.0

I want to update Jira and 2.3.3 will support up to 7.8.4. So is this the highest version of Jira I can update to before that add on will not work anymore? Is that essentially what that is saying? I can't update past 2.3.3. as license would need to be renewed to do so?

Making sure I understand this correctly.
