Hi,
I'm new to Jira, but very familiar with other project management related software.
I've got a question when attempting to add a status to my board settings. I encounter the below error message. I've been able to navigate list of statuses in the admin, but I just can't seem to pull through to my actual project board.
I've look at previous support articles / general google but can't seem to work it out.
My access level is 'site-admin' and I've not updated any of the access levels.
I'm still within my 7 day trial - doubt this is relevant but I wanted to flag.
Would appreciate any thoughts on this!
Hello, @Cameron Falconer
Go to the project's workflow and verify if you can add from there.
If not let me know, if it's not working, maybe you can provide a screenshot.
Hi @elenushhh
Thank you for your reply.
I think we are viewing different versions of Jira, as you can see below, the UI does not display for me, as you've provided in your screenshot above.
I've been able to create some custom statuses, but my original issue still stands. I am not able to apply these to my project board as I apparently do not have access.
Can you please advise further?
Thank you
Cameron

Is the same, I just changed from "Look and feel" the styles, color, added the logo etc. :))
I'm sorry, on my screenshot I have missed a step " edit workflow".
Click on the pen from "Actions" and edit the workflow, there you should have the status and the other stuff. Try to add them, maybe work on transitions if you need to personalize them, then save the workflow, and if you want to save a copy, you can also do that, before saving you will be asked if you want to save a copy or not.
Let me know if you have any issues.

And yes, I've noticed from the menu that there are little differences. But maybe the editing and the changes works the same. Hope so :)
