Add flag - would like to add flag & comment

Hi, running the cloud version we currently have the option to Add Flag, I have been reading that there is the option to Add Flag & Comment, is this possible with the cloud version ?

Hi @Gaynor Mccabe,

You need Jira Software to do that, on a board, you can do right-click in a card and then click on "Add flag" button like this:

After you click one pop-up appears and you decide if you want to add a comment or not, like this:

Is there any way to do that when viewing the issue?

It seems odd that when I am in the issue view, I have to back out to a board and find the issue and then right-click to add the flag. 

While I am actually in the issue I want to flag, why can I not flag it? Does anyone know?

i'm using jira software cloud. i'm able to add flag from the issue view. however, there is no comment box pop up to give an option to add comment while raising a flag similar to when add flag from scrum/kanban boards.

I do not see the comment box when add flag is selected in my view. We use JIRA software. Can someone help me on how to enable this feature?

Same as you!! No new window to add a comment. Is it a premium feature?

I also have this issue – I can flag a ticket, but there is no pop-up or modal for the comment. How can it be fixed? 😢

Hmm, I found the issue. The answer is right – you need to add the flag not from three dots of the task, but by right-clicking on the task in the backlog or in the board, and then the pop-up window with the comment appears. Even more – in that case, it adds the comment into the comment section of the task.
