I need to add a status to our tasks. Following the instructions here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/define-new-status-or-steps-in-jira-workflow-718835875.html
But the workflow is "internally managed by Jira", which seems to be why I can't add the status I need to add. (Relevant verbiage: "Generated by JIRA Software version 1001.0.0-SNAPSHOT. This workflow is managed internally by Jira Software. Do not manually modify this workflow."
How do I work around this so I can add the status?
Copy the workflow, amend the copy and then change the workflow scheme from using the original to use the new one.
Thanks. Using that I could make it work, but I am surprised at how many steps it took to set up something that on the surface seems so very simple.
