Adding a value to a checkbox field in bulk change

Hey!

I have a checkbox field that has 4 values. Some of the issues already have some values checked in this field. I want to check a value for some issues bulk change. But when I do that all the previous checked values are deleted.

Is there a way to add a value in bulk without deleting the other values? Maybe with automation for Jira?

Hi Nofar - it’s a beautiful work but you can do it. You can do query combination for fields being populated. For Each query do a bulk change and select the items that were already selected and add your new one.

For example do a query where the custom field = A and custom field != B and custom field != C and custom field != D

Do a bulk change, select option A and the other value you want to add and execute that bulk change.

You can copy and paste for your new query each time and make the change to go faster.

Hey John!

Thanks. I actually know this solution but my fields have too many options so it would be hard to perform.

Hoping to find a simpler solution.

Thanks again

Unfortunately, I don't. But you might find it will go quicker than you thought once you get the initial filter written.  :-)
