I would like to know is it possible to add an additional status under Issue Details? Under Issue Details there is only one status but I would like to be able to add for example and additional one called client status. Is this feasible and how it can be achieved?

You could add a custum field, which is updated by workflow post functions.
AFAIK an issue follows a single workflow at a time , Even if you are able to add another status field it will show the same status .
If you want you can set issue security level .
