Adding individual users as viewers in filters

I was searching abut this topic, and I found this blogpost.

Under the "Jira Platform" section we have "Filters: Add individual users as viewers", which is the feature I was looking for. It also says that "Changes in this section usually apply to all Jira products". However, I looked at the release notes of Jira Software 9.4.x and I can't find anything related to that.

Is this feature only available in Jira Cloud so far? Are there any intentions of including it in Jira Data Center?

I am afraid that this feature is as you mentioned "only available on Cloud". The link that you provided is actually roadmap related only to Cloud. 

I checked on JAC and I did not find anything that could give hope that this would be also available for Data Center in near future..

There might be some plugins but so far I am not aware of any that could change this feature.
