We have a large project that spans years. We are not going to ever move to the new project types, as they don't support our custom workflows.

Is there anyway to get Epic support in  a classic project? If so, how? Any gotchas?

Hi @Benjamin Peikes,

I'm not sure what you mean with Epic support. Epics are an issue type available in classic projects just like in next-gen. They were there even long before next gen even existed ;-)

A couple of things I can tell you:

First of all - to enable Epics in a classic project they need to be part of the issue type scheme of that project. You can check if that's the case through Project Settings - Issue Types.

If they are, you will be able to use them in your projects and on your scrum and kanban board(s).

Should you refer to the roadmap feature from next gen projects, this is available in your boards (possibly still in beta),  but you should activate the feature from the board settings:

Hope this helps!
