Adding variables to the Summary field on a scheduled issue

Hi All, Ive created a scheduled issue under the ITSM project in Jira, and I was wondering if I can add variables to the Summary field to display the current month/year. I have tried adding the following: {{now.format("MMMM yyyy")}} to the summary and its not triggering . Does anyone know if the above will work under scheduled issues in Jira?

The date / time smart values you note may be used in an automation rule when it is running.

If those are not working as expected, please provide more context for the community to offer better suggestions:

• what problem are you trying to solve with the rule; that is, "why do this?"
• what type of project is this: company-managed, team-managed, JPD, etc.
• an image of your complete automation rule in a single image for continuity
• images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches
• an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution
• explain what is not working as expected and why you believe that to be the case

Welcome to the community.

I think that when using the option {{now.format(""), you are obliged to use the day/month/year format.

I don't think you can leave date out of this.

As this is based on java formatting and reading this documentation.
