Hello,
I am working in Advanced Road Maps where individual engineers each have boards and then one board combines all of their work and lays it out in a "manager" view. Each "Team" is one engineer. Each "Epic" is a product job that will be manufactured. The "Tasks" that fall beneath each "Epic" are the actions required of up to three different engineers.
The issue we are encountering is that the "peer review" task being done by a second engineer are not scheduled sequentially, but instead fall at the end of all other "Epics" / "Tasks" assigned to the secondary engineer. This results in large scheduling gaps for each "Epic" and does not allow Jira to match our workflow.
How do we ensure all of the tasks that fall under each "Epic" are aligned sequentially, especially when multiple teams will be splitting the "Tasks" workload?
Thanks.
Hello @Ethan Read
Thank you for reaching out.
I'm not sure if I clearly understood your requirements. Can you please provide us with any screenshots of how your global board is currently ordering the tasks when they are done and how you would like them to be ordered?
Per your description, it seems the tasks are automatically assigned to the "Second engineer" when they are resolved. I must confess that I don't remember this behavior when using Advanced roadmaps, so this might be caused by a different feature (Jira Automation, Workflow post functions, etc).
Please, provide us with the screenshots (hiding your sensitive information) so we can better understand your requirements.
Thanks!
