I'm new in this community but basic user of JIRA. My task as a Business Analyst is review and auditing company procedures.

Does JIRA have the capability to send an alert if my Task and Sub Task is going past due? There's an EPIC that shows task going past due in 7 days and EPIC that shows its already past due. Unfortunately due to large dashboard content this can be easily missed.

I want JIRA to send me an email for my Task or Past Due task that is about to be past due or status changing from In-Progress to Past Due. Is this possible with JIRA?

Thank you

Hello @Mozy Maullon - Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community. After reading what you have described it seems like, you have an actual status called "Past due" in Jira WF.

If this is the case then your Jira/project admin can set up an automation that will be triggered when the status changes to "Past Due" from "In progress". The action to that trigger can be an email or a slack message depending upon how do you want that and what Information is needed.

Another thing you could do is "Subscribe to a filter" - You can built a JQL for the issues you need and then subscribe to a filter and you will get notified as set on your schedule.

Please let me know if this is something you are looking for and then maybe I can guide you further and how this can be implemented.

Thanks,

-Bharat
