Allow transition to not go to all but to be able to go back and forth

Hi, 

I would like to ask if there is any possibility how to make transitions not allowed to move to any status, but just only for certain?

Because lets say, that I make a mistake and move a status forward, but I realize I have made a mistake but if there is not allowed possibility to transition to every status, there is no way back.

Is there any workaround? 

I though, that maybe i could do 2 transition for every status back and forth, but it seems too much workaround?

We do exactly that. We put in what we call "oops" transitions that go backward, and we denote them in the workflow with brackets around them.

If you don't want to allow transitions from any status to any status, then you will have to explicitly define each transition that you do want to allow.
