Allow workflow transition to set assigne from a specific role

I am using the same workflow accross multiple projects.

I am using the same role accross multiple projects.

I have different people assigned to this role accross multiple projects.

Why Can I specify which role can execute a transition in condition.

But I cannot do the same in post functions to assign the issue to a role. Instead I have to use Jira automations.

Any help is apprecaited.

Hi Sebastian,

Conditions for workflows are very different than automations. Conditions allow (or prevent) users from executing transitions. Automation rules fire as a result of an action that happens (like the issue was transitioned). 

What exactly are you trying to do?
