An Issue with transition validators

Hi all,

I has an requirement to make sure that "original estimate" field is not empty, when moving a ticket from "todo" status to "in-progress" status. If original estimate is empty when moving a ticket from todo status to in-progress status, an error message should be displayed. 

What I did was, I added a field mandatory validator to transition (todo > In-progress transition) for "time" field and published the work flow. Now when I try move a ticket without filling original estimation,it doesn't allow me to move the task and ask me to fill the field. When I field the field and try to move the ticket also it gives me the similar error message. (Though the field is not empty). Could someone please help me on this

Hello Hansika,

I checked on a test instance that the Original Estimate field should appear with the same name in the validator selection and not as "Time" field as you mentioned, so I believe this can be the problem.

That being said, I would first confirm if the "Time" field that you added the validator is indeed the same Original Estimate field that you have added to your issue screens, and not a different custom field created by someone or added by an Add-on.

If this is not the case, I would recommend you to open a ticket with our support team, since it will require a further investigation to better understand what is happening:

I have done the mistake as you said and I have used the time field instead of original estimation field. I fixed the issue base on your guidelines and it worked!
