We've got a large'ish JIRA instance that's gone through many upgrade moves, and administrators over the years.
I'm currently in the process of moving my attachments folder to a new storage area, as it's getting larger, and it started me wondering if there is "cruft" in the attachments store that could be cleared up.
I've searched this area, and the marketplace, but didn't find anything. I'm wondering if anyone's written or knows of a tool that will compare the attachments store on disk, with the JIRA database, and look for issues who's attachments are missing, attachments with no associated issue reference, etc.
Hi Mark,
We had an improvement open for a long time regarding this but it was closed as won't fix: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-8792
I did a bit of research and found this page. Maybe it might be useful for your needs: http://stiltsoft.com/blog/2015/02/smart-attachments-efficient-attachment-manager-for-jira/
