For some reason Smart Checklist went through our whole instance on July 31 and updated closed issues that don't even have any Smart Checklist items.
Messing up our metrics.
Check the app that is used for smart checklist and review the documentation.
A good option is to contact the app support and ask them if this is normal behaviour, or that this occurs due to someone creating a checklist template, or using specific app options.

We’ve identified the root cause of the issue as a recent functionality update that triggered an unintended synchronization of Issue Properties with Smart Checklist Data.
The update lies at the intersection of Smart Checklist and Jira structures which makes it complicated to implement but it is needed to broaden the Smart Checklist capabilities.
This action resulted in unexpected changes to some Jira Issues. Unfortunately, the change is irreversible.
We will take measures to avoid such actions in the future our team. Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused.
