All of a sudden today my Appfire Time Entry Gadget started automatically resizing itself every time I open JIRA or refresh the page. It downsizes horizontally right to left til only a fraction of the window is visible and I can only view the gadget rows and columns using scrollbars. The other gadget in my dashboard (Assigned To Me) is NOT doing this but occasionally the Appfire resize causes my other gadget to disappear which I can only fix by refreshing or going back a page. I tried restarting my laptop; tried signing in/out of JIRA; tried deleting dashboard; tried deleting the gadget and reinstalling. I cannot manually resize it by grabbing the scrollbar. Have tried minimizing/maximizing/full screen options…nothing works.
I have been using DuckDuckGo without issues with JIRA until today. I tested it on Firefox and it looks like the gadget is attempting to resize but just bounces back and forth. Haven’t attempted a test on Google or Safari.
When I searched this problem I found a thread on Atlassian from August 2024 with the exact same problem. “Ivan” from Appfire provided the OP a link to open a job ticket so I did that as well, however I’m not an Administrator, I’m just a user and they sent an automated response telling me they cannot proceed until I provide server information I’m not privy to. We no longer have a dedicated JIRA admin in our office. Feel like I’m calling out into a dark room…is there anyone who can help?
(additional info: the JIRA gadget I used to track my time was discontinued so I started using the Appfire gadget. Is there another time tracking gadget I can use instead?)
Hello, Good day. Please raise this issue with Appfire support team as well : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/292/jira-misc-workflow-extensions-jmwe?hosting=cloud&tab=support as they develop and maintain this gadget.
