Can any of you help explain which will be an impact to bulk update promotion of selected tasks to epics while selected tasks contain subtasks and i will select option :

will jira execute promotion of all subtasks under task to became tasks , or all subtasks became epics or something bad will happen?
Fortunately, each issue type supports sub-task so when you convert tasks to Epic the sub-tasks remain sub-task with the same parent. But if there is a child issue like Initiative > Portfolio > Epic > Task, then if you convert EPIC to Portfolio then it will loss all the tasks, the tasks remains in JIRA but without parent.
