Applying wiki style render to Custom_Text_Field_Single_Line is not recognizing hyperlinks

I am mapping a url field from an external tool to a Jira field, type Custom_Text_Field_Single_Line. I changed renderer to wiki style. But the URL is not appearing as a clickable link.  Am I doing something wrong?  What other fields will recognize URLs (aside from the Custom_URL_Field?)

"Single line text" doesn't support that, simply. You should either use the "Multi-line text" custom field or the "URL" one.

(The former allows multiple lines, which may be a problem. The latter allows nothing else, but the URL, with no surrounding text, which may also be a problem...)

Hi @supportadmin  - You should create at a URL type field and not single line text.
