I have a pre-defined parallel approval path for jira up and working and tied into my workflow. However I would like it to have the logic of if the number of approvals is greater then X then mark as approved. For example, if X=4, I would like the following to show Approved and move the workflow forward How do I do that? Are there alternative plug-ins that support this?
HI @Scott Elliott
You could use Group field step. You can define how many 'votes' are required for step to pass:
I am having a similar issue to Scott. I am trying to set up an approval path where each user in my project team can review and approve or reject a design proposal on a Jira Issue ticket. I only need a subset of my team to either approve or reject the proposal.
Is this possible without using Jira Groups? According to the [Groups Documentation](https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/manage-groups/), groups can only be created and managed at the organization admin level and are intended for site privileges. I think this more aligns with what Jira calls [Teams](https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/start-an-atlassian-team/). Teams can be created and managed at a lower admin level, like the site/project level.
Unless I have something misconfigured, it seems that the Group step and Issue Field - Group are restricted to only using fields that are a Group Picker (single or multiple groups) and cannot use a field which is a User Picker (multiple users). This means that I need an org admin to set this up for my project.
A User step or Issue Field - User can use a field which is a User Picker but does not have the ability to select the number of votes to pass/fail, so I am guessing that this means all users must approve before it passes.
Is this feature available or are there any work arounds? Thanks!

Hey @Scott Elliott ,
Sorry for the question but how did you get the approval path? Is it an additional plug-in from the Marketplace or may be you are using Jira Service management?
