Approval Process

Im creating an HR project and have some issues that will require approval, depending on their issue type. I cannot seem to find a way to require approval (not let a project be closed or resolved unless approval given) form SOME issue types and not others in the same project. Can you assist?

Have you looked at the Workflow conditions? http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Workflow#ConfiguringWorkflow-conditions

You could create an Approval workflow that limits the workflow steps using conditions and then just attach that to the appropriate issue types in the Workflow Schema.
