Hi All,
As part of regular clean up activity, we want to archive few projects which are not in use since more than a year. Deletion is not a solution as after 60days we would loose and may not be able to restore it ever.
What best pratice should I follow to meet my below requirements -
1) Archived project should not be visible to end users.
2) Access of existing users should not be removed.( I mean in people tab, names should remain as it is)
3) In archive state it should remain in view only mode, like (no new creation of ticket, update or delete any existing ticket). Is this offered by default or do we need to create custom permission and associate it with those projects.
4) If archieve project, apart from site admin is there any other email sentout to end users.
5) Could project remain in archive state as long as Jira instance is up and running.
6) If we plan to move all archive project to new instance(may be in future archive instance) how beneficial it would be reduce size of existing instane. We may have like 100 of projects which are ready to go in archive state.
Hi @Neeta Dubey,
Project archiving is a standard feature of Jira Cloud. You can read more about it in this support article.
Hope this helps!
